Volunteer at Easton Mountain

Most people who volunteer at Easton Mountain came here as guests first.

They left knowing they wanted to come back — and they found a way to do it that lets them give something back at the same time. Volunteering is how a lot of the men in this community deepened their relationship with this place. It’s how a first-time visitor becomes a regular. It’s how a guest becomes part of the crew.

The Experience

What a volunteer week actually looks like

You’ll be assigned a role — kitchen, housekeeping, logistics, or something else depending on the event — and scheduled like a job, typically 5–6 hours a day.

Everything else is yours.

When you’re not on duty, you’re part of the community. That means workshops, shared meals, late-night conversations, and friendships that form across a week on this mountain. Men arrive as volunteers and leave having lived inside Easton in a way most guests never do.

All meals and accommodations are provided. You’ll have access to the land, the facilities, and the full community life of whichever retreat you’re supporting.

Your Contribution

The men who make it feel effortless

Our volunteers keep Easton running. Every retreat that feels effortless to the men who come here feels that way because a team of people made it that way — setting up spaces, running meals, holding the logistics so that everyone else can show up fully.

It’s real work. And most of the men who do it will tell you they get more than they give.

Two Paths

Two ways to experience more Easton

If you’re drawn to volunteering partly because you’d love to attend more events than your budget allows, you’re not alone — that’s exactly why many of our volunteers are here. There are two paths worth knowing about.

Path One

Volunteering

A week-or-longer commitment where you contribute to operations in exchange for housing, meals, and full access to the retreat community. A meaningful exchange — and often a deeper experience than attending as a guest.

Path Two

Scholarships

Available for people seeking financial support to attend a specific event as a full guest. If that better fits what you’re looking for, visit our scholarship page.

Both paths exist because we want Easton to be accessible. Choose the one that fits.

Logistics

Staying longer

Volunteers are welcome for short-term stays of up to two weeks, or longer commitments. If approved for a longer stay, your first two weeks are a trial period — a chance for both you and Easton to make sure things are working well.

All volunteer coordination happens through our Volunteer Coordinator. Questions before you apply? Reach out at volunteer@eastonmountain.org.
